Creating a Symbol for a City’s Future

The challenge was to design an identity that would inspire confidence in a massive public infrastructure project. The metro needed to be seen not just as a transport system but as a new-age lifestyle enabler for the people of Bhubaneswar, balancing modern efficiency with cultural resonance.

Approach:

Blending Culture with Modern Mobility

ONEDESIGN designed a contemporary logo and visual system that conveyed speed, reliability, and forward motion. Inspired by Odisha’s cultural motifs and modern design language, the identity reflected both tradition and progress. The branding was extended into collaterals and visual applications that could scale across signage, tickets, stations, and digital interfaces.

The brand design positioned Bhubaneswar Metro as more than a transport service — it became a symbol of the city’s growth, modernity, and ambition.
